Lettings Fee Ban
A ban on fees charged by letting agents on tenants is in force. The ban is governed by Tenant Fees Act 2019.
The Act also caps the amount tenants can be charged for deposits.
The changes seek to protect tenants from the very start of the renting process.
University Tuition Fees
The Augar review commissioned by the Government suggests that university tuition fees should be cut to £7,500.
The review hopes that the changes will encourage to students to pay back their loans sooner.
The review says that the proposals will not happen before 2021-22 at the earliest.
Amazons invests in Deliveroo
Amazon is leading a $575 million funding round into Deliveroo.
Deliveroo will use the funding to expand its technology team and expand its geographic reach.
Amazon has previously launched Amazon Restaurants but it has been struggling in the food market. The investment reflects Amazon’s attempt to break into the food market.
