Possible Asda Public Listing (IPO)
Following the blocked Sainbury's-Asda merger, Asda’s parent company, Walmart, said that it is considering a public listing.
Judith McKenna, Walmart’s CEO, stated that preparations for the IPO could take years.

JD Sports and Footasylum Deal
The Competition Markets Authority (CMA) is investigating the JD Sports’ £90 million acquisition of Footasylum.
The investigation will consider whether the acquisition will substantially lessen competition in the sector.
Until CMA has completed its investigation, both JD Sports and Footasylum are banned from taking any measure to integrate.
Goldman Sachs Largest Acquisition
Goldman Sachs has made its largest acquisition.
It has agreed to acquire United Capital for $750 million in cash.
United Capital is an investment adviser with £25 billion worth of assets under management.
This acquisition diversifies Goldman Sachs’ investment portfolio.
