Sainsbury’s and Asda Merger Update
The Sainsbury’s and Asda merger has been blocked by CMA
CMA said that the merger would increase prices

Airbnb : Real Estate Regulation in France
French authorities have argued that Airbnb should be subjected to the same real estate obligations imposed on letting agents
However, the ECJ has held that Airbnb should be seen as a digital service provider.
ECJ also held that the Irish-registered company should not be subjected by French regulation because it has not properly notify authorities of the intention to apply French law to the Irish company
The full judgement is expected in the coming months.
Heathrow’s Third Runway
Heathrow campaigners (Claimants) lost its challenge against the proposals of Heathrow’s third runway.
The campaigners have argued that the proposal will cause air pollution, noise and climate change.
The Claimants’ arguments were dismissed by The High Court.
This decision was criticised by green groups who stated that this decision is contrasting the House of Common’s motion declaring “climate emergency”
Friends of the Earth, has announced its plans to appeal the high Court decision.
